When is a car useful?

Consider a rental if you combine several stops or stay outside the city. For a short old-town stay, compare a partial rental with transfers. Ask your accommodation for a specific parking arrangement, its price and luggage access. An address near the centre does not mean a parking space will be waiting outside the door.

Prepare your airport collection

For a DBV offer, check whether handover is at the terminal or a nearby site. Keep the address and contact for delays. If you return elsewhere, the one-way rental must appear in the quote. Do not schedule handover at the last moment: allow time for vehicle inspection and reaching your departure terminal.

Choose your car and understand the costs

A journey into Montenegro or Bosnia and Herzegovina requires written information from the supplier about permitted countries, documents and fees. Check passengers’ entry requirements separately. For a loop remaining in Croatia, examine the actual route rather than assuming it crosses a border. Include different-return fees, extras and parking in the comparison.

Should I keep a car during an old-town stay?

Not necessarily. Compare the days you will actually drive and parking costs with renting only for excursions.
